Ron trained at The University of Glasgow where he obtained his B.Mus (Hons), before undertaking his Post Grad at Wales uni.

He is an illustrious creative practitioner with a rich career portfolio, the performance side of which was recently celebrated by South hill Park Arts Centre at their 50th anniversary.

As a performer Ron has a huge body of work, solo and as part of a duo act. he has toured the world, released records and led the way on some of the U.K’s largest music festivals at their founding.

As a creative practitioner, Ron was CEO at South Hill Park for more than two decades (helping found some of their most successful annual festival events in the 80’s and 90’s, and more recent 00’s giving a start to emerging theatre companies including Selladoor and Original Theatre Company), a founding director at The Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield, an artistic assessor for The Arts Council England, Artisitic Director at The Marist School and he currently still works are Programming Director for the Kenton Theatre in Henley.

Ron has been a part of Artemis musically since it began in 2007, and we were excited to welcome him back for College in 2023.
