We require all students to wear a college uniform. This must be ordered and refreshed each year in August to be delivered by the first day of term. It is not optional, and can be added to, but the minimum package must be purchased by every student as a condition of accepting a place.

If you join one of our full time courses , you will need the following compulsory equipment:

• Jazz or other soft non-slip dance shoes.

• Black leggings or Jazz pants (for rehearsal and exams). No logos.

• Leotard and tights (girls) for dance class. Students may opt to wear jazz pants and a tee shirt if they prefer.

• Students placed in Inter/advanced ballet or advanced tap should have ballet and tap shoes. All beginners may wear jazz shoes unless they wish to purchase ballet/tap shoes.

• £85 Uniform: 2 x 2025 College short sleeve tee shirts, a 2025 hoodie (for class, exams, headshots and public appearances, including the Artemis @ 18 festival in 2025) and branded water bottle for class. Compulsory, and must be ordered/paid for through Artemis before 1st Sept each year as they are personalised and made in bulk to keep prices as low as possible. For those who struggle - apply for a bursary fund payment from BCE as soon as you accept a place. Washing facilities for clothes are also available on site.

  Upon confirmation (year 12, after GCSE results) or for all returners and gap year, you wil be sized in the induction day in June. You will then have an invoice created on your Parent Portal and emailed to you in August 2024. Payment is due by card or bank transfer before 1st September 2024.

• A laptop* or electronic notebook with internet access  (all log books and written/research work is done online for exam submissions).

• Access to the internet outside college hours.

All dance classes will be in dance uniform, and all other classes require a school tee shirt and hoodie to be worn at all times.

The tee shirts and Hoodies can be ordered from the school shop - and are bespoke with the student name on the back (for practical exam identification by examiners). We will use the email address at point of sale to identify the student. Full first names will be printed (not nicknames).

Additional optional items can also be ordered from late September - including branded dance wear, team uniform (Hip Hop and cheer), spare tee shirts and long sleeve varieties and other items.

*Please note - a tablet or phone will not allow you to update your Google Classroom easily - it must be a laptop or notebook computer. Phones are not permitted for use in class for safeguarding.
