Musical Theatre Summer School

Free for 16-18 year olds!

£315 for 12-15 year olds (payable and booked through South Hill Park Arts Centre).

Join us for a Summer School like no other!

Held annually at the end of July and beginning of August in collaboration with South Hill Park, this summer programme offers young performers and technicians the chance to work on a full-scale musical production.

Courses Available:

  • Performers Course: Develop singing, dancing, and acting skills.

  • Technicians Course: Gain experience in stage management, lighting, and sound.

Free Places for 16-18s: Funded spaces are available, with qualifications such as Arts Awards, RSL Graded Musical Theatre Exams, and RSL Level 1 Certificate in Technical Theatre. Funded places are not available to Artemis College students. Limited performance opportunity scholarships available to any person enrolled at Artemis College. Please speak to the Head of College to apply.

Ages 12-16: Younger students can join through South Hill Park. Course fee: £315 (subject to change).

Performance Days: Beginning of August

Performance Times: 2:00pm and 7:00pm Each Day

What: Musical to be announced!

How: Working with a professional creative team, stage and perform the full length musical in just two weeks! And, if you’re aged 16-18, you will get a qualification on the way! Previous qualifications on offer have included RSL Graded Musical Theatre Exams, Arts Awards, Level 1 Certificates.

    Fully funded performance course, including a qualification! Sing, dance and act in a full musical staged in just two weeks.

  • 12 - 15 Performers

    Take part as a performer or on the production crew, in a full musical staged in just two weeks!

  • 12 - 18 Crew

    Take part as a member of the backstage crew! Work with the technical team to learn all about the different roles needed to put on a show.

    Any learners who will be a student at Artemis College in September.
