No. While we'd always encourage you to visit us first, it's not essential. If you're ready to audition, you're welcome to apply without attending an Open Morning or Taster Day.
-
Open Mornings are free to attend.
Taster Days cost £10 to reserve your place.
Auditions cost £10. This helps us reduce no-shows and ensure places are available for those who genuinely wish to apply. If you enrol at Artemis, this fee will be deducted from your uniform costs. If the fee would prevent you from attending, please get in touch—we never want cost to be a barrier.
-
For an Open Morning, simply come along and enjoy the experience.
For a Taster Day, wear comfortable clothing that you can move in and bring a bottle of water and a packed lunch.
For an Audition, we'll send you everything you need to prepare once you've booked, including any audition requirements for your chosen course.
-
Parents and carers are warmly welcomed to our Open Mornings, where they'll have the opportunity to meet staff, ask questions and find out more about studying at Artemis.
Our Taster Days are for prospective learners only. This allows participants to experience a genuine day of training, build confidence and get a real feel for student life.
Parents and carers are welcome to accompany learners to their Audition, but the audition itself is for applicants only.
-
After your audition, our team will carefully review your application and you'll receive one of the following outcomes:
Offer – We'd love to offer you a place at Artemis.
Recall – We'd like to invite you back to a Recall Day for a further assessment before making our final decision.
Reserve List - We'd like to keep your application under consideration while we continue to build our September cohort. This may be because we're still seeing applicants, or because places are currently limited. If we're able to make further offers, we'll review our wait list and contact suitable applicants as soon as possible.
Decline – Unfortunately, we're unable to offer you a place on this occasion.
We'll explain your outcome clearly and keep you informed throughout the process.
-
A Recall Day is an invitation-only event for selected applicants.
Being invited to a Recall Day is not a rejection. It simply means we'd like to see you again before making a final decision. During the day, you'll take part in further practical classes and activities, giving us the opportunity to see how you learn, respond to feedback and work with others.
Recall Days help us build the strongest possible cohort and ensure every applicant is given the best opportunity to demonstrate their potential.
-
Our Open Mornings and Taster Days are designed for learners in Years 10 and 11 who are beginning to explore their post-16 options.
If you're in Year 9 (or younger), there are still plenty of ways to experience Artemis! We'd love to welcome you to our Medusa part-time training programmes, join us for one of our holiday workshops, or come along and watch one of our productions to see what our learners get up to both on and off the stage.
